PROBLEM
In a world grappling with a looming global ecosystem collapse, exacerbated by the alarming prevalence of harmful pesticides in over 72% of food sold in the US, significant challenges emerge. Despite the evident health risks posed by these pesticide-laden processed foods (with indications that 73% of US food is ultra-processed), a mere 55% of Americans recognize the benefits of pesticide-free consumption.
Simultaneously, over 783 million people worldwide continue to suffer from hunger, underscoring a critical issue of food insecurity. While obesity rates surge and vegetable oil consumption raises mortality risks by 98% and 62%, respectively, there persists a widespread misperception that cultivating one's sustenance is impractical and cost-prohibitive. Addressing this multifaceted problem is imperative for human health,
environmental sustainability, and global food security. Necessitating a transformative service that empowers individuals with personalized, self-sustaining food provisioning systems.
SOLUTION
Our mission is to provide an accessible, low-maintenance, high-yield permaculture food forest system that empowers individuals, families, and communities to establish their own self-sustaining food forests. By doing so, we directly address pressing customer concerns, ensuring access to pesticide-free, nutritious food while fostering self-sufficiency to combat food insecurity. Simultaneously, our initiative contributes significantly to environmental regeneration, and soil regeneration, and dispels the misconception about the impracticality and costliness of home food production.
Our solution promotes regenerative food, water, and energy production on a domestic scale, offering substantial benefits for both the environment and the economy. We aim to catalyze a movement transforming existing lawns and farmlands into diverse, plentiful, and easy-to-maintain food forests. These food forests are permanent fixtures adaptable to any climate, relying on biological and botanical advantages found in nature to eliminate the need for poisons and pesticides. With more food forests, we can provide abundant resources for individuals and local communities, enabling them to lead healthier lives free from the constraints of the industrialized food complex while promoting sustainable and regenerative practices.
